Adaptacije filmove u igri i igara u filmove sve su popularnije. Nažalost nisu sve jednako uspješne, ali Sony je dokazao sa Spider Manom u jednom smjeru i The Last Of Us serijom da zna i u drugom. Tako su najavili kako su dva nova filmska naslova bazirana na video igri u produkciji.
Iako je ranije najavljena Horizon Netflix adaptacija u obliku serije ona će vrlo vjerojatno biti otkazana, a zamijenit će ju film. Isti bi trebao biti temeljen na prvoj igri serijala, Horizon Zero Dawn, a uz Sony na filmu će raditi i Columbia Pictures.
Drugi Sonyjev IP koji će dobiti filmsku adaptaciju je Helldivers koji je vrlo vjerojatno dobio zeleno svjetlo nakon ogromnom uspjeha prošlogodišnjeg Helldivers 2. Zanimljivo je to što je Helldivers kao igra nastao upravo na filmu točnije na temelju Starship Troopers iz 1997. godine, a sada će pokušati napraviti puni krug i vratiti se na kino platna.
