Tekken 8 je dobio svoj gameplay trailer na The Game Awardsu. Osim što smo vidjeli gameplay, trailer nas je upoznao s pričom igre koji prati Kazuyu Mishimu koji je vlasnik Mishima Zaibatsua nakon smrti njegovog oca Heihachija. Tekken 8 je odlučio vratiti velik broj likova, kao što su Paul Phoenix, Law, Jack, King i Lars. Najveće iznenađenje je pojava Jun Kazame, Jinove majke. Ona se nije pojavila u Tekken igrama od Tekken 2.
