Tjedan dana poslije izlaska novog Ubisoftovog naslova, cijena Ubisoftove dionice pala je rekordno nisko.
Nakon ne pretjerano brilijantnog lansiranja Star Wars Outlawsa, Ubisoftova dionica u zadnjih dva dana pala je za preko deset posto, te u vrijeme pisanja ovog članka iznosi 15.42 eura. Time je dosegla najnižu vrijednost u gotovo deset godina, od prosinca 2014. godine, kada je iznosila 15.50 eura.
Cijena dionice je počela padati nakon izlaska igre, koja u recenziji Metacritica dobila jedva osrednju ocjenu, 4.9 od 10. Loša ocjena same igrice rezultirala je smanjenjem predviđenog broja prodanih primjeraka za čak 2 milijuna.
Situaciju dodatno otežava i gubitak igrača XDefianta, Ubisoftovog Free to Play Arena Shootera kojemu prijeti obustava razvoja novih sadržaja, te ukidanje podrške. Ubisoft nadu polaže u Assassin’s Creed Shadows koji bi po predviđanjima, svojim izlaskom trebao podići cijenu dionice i dovesti Ubisoft i investitore u daleko bolju financijsku situaciju.
