U kasno večernjim satima, Riot se oglasio na svom X profilu, te se osvrnuo na to kako će otpustiti 530 zaposlenika. Riot jasno navodi kako ovo nije zbog financija već zbog razvoja studija. Kroz posljednjih nekoliko godina Riot je i više nego udvostručio broj zaposlenika, no sada su shvatili da im nije potreban broj da odluče što igrači zapravo vole. Na kraju su dodali kako će od sada usmjeriti svoj fokus na bitnije projekte.
Riot će se fokusirati na League of Legends, Valorant, TFT i nadolazeći Wild Rift. Također, iz studija su potvrdili da će se fokusirati oko bilo kakvog dodatnog sadržaja, kao što je naprimjer Netflixov Arcane serije i naravno esport natjecanja. S druge strane naslovi kao što je to Legends of Runeterra, kartaška igra koju je Riot izbacio, će biti potpuno zapostavljeni. Neće ih doslovno ugasiti, ali je naslov neisplativ, pa će zbog toga puno manji fokus biti na njemu.
