Već jako dugo se priča o nasljedniku Nintendo Switch konzole koja je na tržištu još od 2017. godine. Od tada su i zeleni i plavi objavili nove konzole, pa i započeo planove za još jednu generaciju. Nintendo je do danas samo plasirao ažuriranu OLED inačicu.
To bi se uskoro trebalo promijeniti prema riječima izvršnog direktora Nintentenda, Shuntara Fukurawe, koji je izjavio kako je nasljednika Nintendo Switcha predstaviti unutar aktualne fiskalne godine. Njihova fiskalna godina ne prati onu kalendarsku već završava posljednjim danom ožujka u 2025. godini.
Hoćemo li to dočekati još u ovoj kalendarskoj godini još nam nije poznato, ali brojni insajderi iz Nintenda tvrde kako ćemo Nintendo Switch 2 ugledati na policama već u proljeće 2025. odnosno početkom nove fiskalne godine.
