The Last of Us Online trebao je doći kao zamjena za The Last of Us: Factions. Igra je otkazana jer su iz studija procjenili kako ne mogu iznijeti kvalitetan projekt do kraja bez da se 100% posvete samo njemu. Nisu htjeli otići u smjeru live-service studija jer kako tvrde to nije dio Naughty dog tradicije. Tako će ostati fokusirani na rad single-player naslova.
