PlayStationov studijo Insomniac u zadnjih nekoliko godina pokazao je svoje znanje s tri Spider-Man igre. Potom je najavljen povratak Wolverina također u njihovoj izvedbi.
Insomniac je prvotno ciljao kraj 2024. godine kao vrijeme izlaska nove Wolverine igre. Prisjetimo se kako smo posljednju Wolverine igru igrali davne 2009. godine, a nosila je ime X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Bila je rađena u Unreal Engineu 3 i bila je primarno izašla na PlayStation 3 te Xbox 360.
Preskočivši jednu generaciju konzola Wolverine se vrača nazad, a prema poznatom leakeru Danielu Richtmanu igru nećemo zaigrati kada smo to očekivali. Prema internim informacijama iz Insomniaca igra je pomaknuta za 2025. godinu što je sasvim uredu s obzirom da je razvojni studio nedavno izbacio Spider-Man 2 čiju ste recenziju čitali.
Razvoj igre vrlo vjerojatno je usporen i radom na proširenju Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 o kojem se dosta priča po internetu. Nemamo službenu potvrdu, ali jako puno izvora bliskih Insomniacu i PlayStationu tvrdi isto.
