The Last of Us: Part II je imao 4 milijuna prodanih primjeraka u prvih tjedan dana, dok ju je God of War: Ragnarok nadmašio za čak 1,1 milijun prodanih primjeraka. Igra je definitivno postavila vrlo jak rekord kojeg će biti jako teško oboriti.
Vrijedi napomenuti kako je prva Kratosova i Arteusova avantura bila prodana u 23 milijuna primjeraka. No, ta se brojka dobije kada se zbroje prodani primjerci za PlayStation konzolame i PC platformu. Također to je brojka koju je igra prikupila u nepunih pet godina.
