Tužan dan za ljubitelje trkaćih igara, jer su čak dvije franšize ugašene od strane EA-a. Ugašene su Project CARS i DiRT Rally igre, barem tako tvrde izvješća iz Insider Gaminga.
Slightly Mad Studios je kupio Codemasters 2019. godine, a danas su oni u vlasništvu EA-a. Slightly Mad Studios je najpoznatiji po svom triju naslova Project CARS. No, nakon ove vijesti se ne zna na čemu tim sada radi, jer očito Project CARS više ne može biti jedna od opcija. Sve osobe koje su radile na ovim igrama se premještaju na druge igre, naravno ako su dovoljno kvalificirani za odrađivanje tog posla.
Iako otkazivanje DiRT franšize nije još potvrđeno, postoje velike šanse da ju čeka ista sudbina kao i Project CARS. Naime, DiRT Rally će se sljedeće godine pretvoriti u službeno licenciranu WRC igru. Što je jako dobro za serijal, jer ako ćemo biti iskreni arkadni rally nije privukao veliki broj igrača.
Nismo sigurni koliko su ovo dobre odluke od strane EA-a. Znači li ovo da se sprema izlazak neke nove velike trkaće igre? Vrijeme će pokazati.
