Od kako se koristi Discord navikli smo na prepoznatljivi format imena u formatu Ime#1234. Prema istraživanju velik broj igrača upravo zbog tih brojeva ne zna svoje Discord ime napamet. Do toga je došlo jer se ljudima neda pamtit brojeve koji se nalaze iza hashtag znaka.
Discord je odlučio ovoga mjesea uvesti promjenu te će imena biti poput onih na Instagramu. Svako će imati unikatni username koji će biti u formatu #tehixhr dok će onaj drugi tzv. display name moći biti kakav god želite. Npr. Tehix.hr Web portal @tehix.hr
S obzirom na jako velik broj korisnika koji koristi Discord promjene imena će se događati postepeno, a prednost će imati stariji korisnici kako bi mogli izabrati unikatno ime koje oni baš žele. Display name moći će se mijenjati kad god poželite dok će te glavni username moći mijenjati, ali ne toliko često.
