PC verzija igre će izaći 24.10., dok će igrači konzola morati pričekati do proljeća 2024. godine. Razlog ove velike odgode je usavršavanje igre. Igra je trebala izaći za manje od mjesec dana, ali eto sada su developeri shvatili da nisu zadovoljni, te da mogu puno bolje. S dodatnim vremenom koje će developeri dobiti unaprijedit će optimizaciju za platforme.
Ova nagla odgoda Cities: Skylines 2 nas čini skeptičnima, pa tako očekujemo da će PC verzija imati neke probleme čim izađe.
