Tencent je studio koji je bio zadužen za razvoj ovog naslova, budžet koji su dobili bio je ogroman. Po internetu kruže informacije kako je Tencent imao budžet od blizu 1 milijarde juana, što je oko 140 milijuna dolara. Također je navodno na ovom projektu radilo oko 300 programera.
PC i mobilna igra svoju avanturu je započela u lipnju uz veliki hype koji se stvorio upravo zbog Oscarom nagrađenog glumca, Will Smitha. U Undawnu, Smith je glumio Treya Jonesa, koji ima ulogu vodiča. Naime, Trey pomaže igračima u kretanju po svijetu koji je uništen velikom katastrofom. Ali čak ni Will Smith nije mogao spasiti ovaj naslov od neuspjeha. Tencent je prošlog mjeseca ostvario prihod od samo 287 000 dolara.
