Prvi The Witcher, CD Projektova debitantska igra rađena prema romanima Andrzeja Sapkowskog dobit će remake, potvrđeno je to ranije ove godine, a sada smo saznali nekoliko bitnih detalja.
Za razliku od otvorenih, ali u srži linearnih nivoa originala, remake će biti strukturiran kao open-world RPG, otkriva prezentacija financijskih rezultata. Tim riječima je CD projekt opisivao remake.
Također, bitna su još dva pojma. “Story-driven” i “singleplayer”, što znači kako poljski izdavač neće gurati multiplayer elemente u naslov koji ih originalno nije ni imao.
Razvoj remakea predvodi novi poljski studio Fool’s Theory sastavljen od veterana The Witchera. Koristi se Unreal Engine 5, CD Projekt nadgleda i pruža tehničku podršku. Uz to se paralelno razvija i potpuno novi The Witcher s kojim će novi remake imati neke dodirne točke.
