Vitality je prošli put bio prvi na HLTV listi 2020. godine i to pri kraju godine, a to prvo mjesto ni nisu dugo sadržali. Tada je osvojio IEM Beijing i Blast Fall Finals. U tom rosteru nisu bili dupreeh, Magisk i Spinx.
Sada je Vitality zaslužio svoje prvo mjesto nakon što su osvojili ESL Pro League Season 16 i kvalificirali se na Legends fazu za IEM Rio Major. Uz to bili su na svakom eventu pri samom vrhu i pravili probleme ostalim favoritima.
