Twitch je trenutno broj 1 streaming platforma u svijetu koja okuplja sve najveće face gaming i esport scene, no zbog svoje odluke bi možda mogli izgubiti dio kreatora, a zajedno s njima i dio gledatelja.
Naime, Twitch je svojim najvećim kreatorima nudio posebne ugovore koji su išli u korist samih kreatora odnosno zarada od subskripcija i monetizacije dijelila se 70/30. Što je naravno streamerima bilo odlično jer su prije potpisivanja takvog ugovora dijelili zaradu 50/50 s platformom.
Sada Twitch uvodi novi sistem koji obuhvaća kreatore pod ugovor. Za prvih 100 000$ zarade vrijedi odnos 70/30 iz ugovora, ali nakon toga zarada se dijeli 50/50 što je izazvalo lavinu negativnih komentara članova zajednice. Preko 22 000 ljudi potpisalo je peticiju protiv te odluke uključujići i kreatore, ali Twitch je odlučio ostati pri svojoj odluci.
Odluka stupa na snagu tek od lipnja 2023. godine tako da streameri i dalje imaju vremena da uzmu svoj dio kolača, ali i da pokušaju utjecati na to hoće li Twitch svoju odluku ipak povući.
