Nakon 14 godina, Paramount Picturesov The Naked Gun dobiva svoj reboot. Studio je danas najavio točan datum izlaska, 18. srpnja 2025.. godine. Reboot će režirati Akiva Schaffer iz Lonely Islanda, dok će film producirati tvorci Family Guya, Seth MacFarlane i Erica Huggins. The Naked gun se trebao vratit davne 2009. godine s The Naked Gun: What 4? No, film je bio izgubljen u razvoju, a 2010. godine nas je nažalost napustio Leslie Nielsen, glavna zvijezda ovog filma.
Tek pet godina nakon te situacije, pokrenule su se nove glasine oko novog The Naked Gun filma. Ovoga puta, ulogu glavnog lika Franka Drebina trebao je utjeloviti Edo Helmsom, svima poznat iz filma Mamurluk. No, i ta je priča pala u vodu, te je novi krug glasina započeo 2021. godine. Tada je Liam Neeson, za časopis People, rekao da su mu se ljudi iz Paramount Studiosa obratili vezano za ulogu u The Naked Gun rebootu. Danas, 2024. godine, ovaj projekt je konačno na sigurnijem putu da se ostvari.
Deadline Hollywood je objavio vijest u kojoj se Neeson odlučio da će glumiti u ovom rebootu. Iako smo dobili potencijalni datum izlaska ovog reboota, a to je 18. srpnja 2025.. godine, moguće je da projekt propadne i nikada se ne realizira. Naravno, mi se nadamo kako ćemo 2025. godine gledati Liama Neesona u ovoj komediji.
