Snimanje filma je već u tijeku, a neki izvori na internetu prenose kako će Willa Holland i Paul Sparks glumiti u ovom hororcu. Developer Brian Clarke je priču The Mortuary Assistant napisao tako da prati Rebeccu Owens, koja je dobila posao u mrtvačnici River Fields. U početku se taj posao čini jednostavnim, ali vrlo brzo postane pravi posao iz noćne more.
