The Game Awards nastavlja širiti platforme na kojima će gledatelji diljem svijeta moći uživati u ovom događaju, pa ćemo tako isti moći gledati i putem Amazon Prime Video. Geoff Keighley, kreator i voditelj emisije, potvrdio je ovu informaciju u razgovoru za Variety, te je istaknuo kako je ovo “veliki korak naprijed” za The Game Awards. Dodao je i kako: “Nema šanse da ikada prestanemo emitirati na YouTube ili Twitchu – tamo je sve počelo 2014. godine. Amazon Prime je samo dodatna platforma, a ne zamjena.”
Prema njegovim riječima, The Game Awards ostaje isti kao i prethodnih godina, odnosno Amazon Prime neće promijeniti format ili sadržaj. “Oni su samo još jedan kanal distribucije i u potpunosti nam dopuštaju da radimo stvari na svoj način. Ne mijenjamo apsolutno ništa zbog nove platforme.”
Osim dolaska na Prime Video, gledatelji će i dalje moći pratiti The Game Awards 2025 na Twitchu i YouTubeu, kao i do sada. Novost je da će se ovogodišnji prijenos na Twitchu po prvi put emitirati u 2K rezoluciji, a gledatelje očekuju i posebni Twitch Drops bonusi.
