Dosta se posljednjih mjeseci pričalo o potencijalnom povratku templara u Assassin’s Creed serijal. Ako niste upoznati sa serijalom, dvije sukobljene strane su oduvijek bile Assassini i Templari. No, s obzirom na to gdje je smješten Shadows, postojale su određene sumnje o povratku templara baš u ovom naslovu. Posljednji put kada smo imali templare u Assassin’s Creed igri bilo je 2015. godine. Zadnje četiri igre su se vraćale u prošlost u kojoj nisu postojali ni Assassini ni Templari. Ti naslovi su pratili sukobe između Hidden Onesa i Order of the Ancientsa.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows odvija se u 1579. godini, što je developerima bio dovoljan razlog da vrate Templare u svoju igru. Iako, povratak Templara u ovu godinu nije baš povijesno točno, ali mislim kako nitko neće to uzeti za zlo Ubisoftu. Naravno, uvijek treba uzeti u obzir da ni jedna Assassin’s Creed igra nije istinita, odnosno upozorenje na početku svakog naslova jasno kaže kako je priča izmišljena. Dakle, Assassin’s Creed Shadows vratit će Templare i smjestiti ih u feudalni Japan. Sve to je otkriveno u traileru kojeg je Ubisoft objavio na svojem YouTube kanalu. S pomoću njega, Ubisoft želi upoznati igrače s pričom Assassin’s Creed Shadowsa.
Trailer je još jednom potvrdio kako će naši protagonisti Naoe i Yasuke u početku biti na suprotstavljenim stranama. Kasnije kroz priču, njihovi putevi će se ispreplesti, a ono što ih je povezalo je upravo pripadnosti Assassinima.
