Samaritan govori o mladiću koji dolazi do spoznaje da je Samaritan, slavni superheroj, možda još uvijek živ unatoč tome što se vjeruje da je nestao nakon epske bitke prije 25 godina.
Temelji se na grafičkim romanima Mythos Comics čiji su autori Bragi F. Schut, Marc Olivent i Renzo Podesta, a koji se bavi time kako izgleda život superheroja u sjeni – s naglaskom na realizam. Sylvester Stallone glumi Smitha, bivšeg superheroja koji je postao smetlar.
Javon “Wanna” Walton (Euphoria) glumi klinca koji vjeruje da ga je spasio Samaritanac. Glumačka postava filma također uključuje Martina Starra (Silicon Valley), Piloua Asbæka (Game of Thrones) i Daschu Polanco (Orange is the New Black). Samaritan dolazi prema scenariju Bragija F. Schuta (Escape Room, Ninjago), a režirao ga je Julius Avery (Overlord, Son of a Gun).
