Steam je ponovno dokazao da je PC igranje u usponu! Postigli su novi rekordni, najveći broj igrača online u isto vrijeme – čak 39.205.447 ljudi! To se dogodilo tijekom tjedna punog uzbuđenja, jer su ovaj tjedan izašli vrlo uzbudljivi naslovi poput Marvel Rivalsa i Path of Exile II.
Steam je u posljednjih nekoliko godina u stalnom rastu. Pandemija COVID-19 donijela je pravi bum u gaming industriji, a industrija od tada samo nastavlja s uspjesima. Podaci s grafikona SteamDB-a pokazuju ovaj trend tijekom posljednjih 20 godina.
Ovog vikenda, popularna PC platforma je dosegla gotovo 40 milijuna istovremenih korisnika – nevjerojatan broj po bilo kojoj mjeri. Od početka 2024. godine, Steam je u usponu, ali neke igre doprinose ovom uspjehu više od drugih. Na primjer, Counter-Strike 2 dosljedno održava 24-satni vrhunac od oko 1,5 milijuna korisnika, a PUBG i Dota 2 slijede u stopu s približno 700.000 igrača. Ovog vikenda, Marvel Rivals je dostigao vrhunac od gotovo 500.000 igrača, a Path of Exile II, trenutno u early accessu, osvojio je ljestvice s 578.000 istovremenih korisnika.
Važno je napomenuti da prikazani broj predstavlja vrhunac istovremenih korisnika. To ne znači da aktivno igraju igru, već samo da su online na Steamu. U trenutku kada je postignuta granica od 39 milijuna, nešto više od 12 milijuna korisnika aktivno je igralo igre.
