Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Remake mogao bi biti odgođen na neodređeno vrijeme, nakon zastoja u razvoju u studiju Aspyr Media.
Aspyr Media iznenada je otpustila umjetničkog direktora Jasona Minora i direktora dizajna Brada Princea, koji su obojica radili na Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic Remake. Na naknadnim sastancima s timom u cjelini, viši službenici rekli su zaposlenicima da je projekt stavljen na čekanje. U međuvremenu će studio tražiti nove ljude za projekt.
Na LinkedInu, i Minor i Prince navode svoje zaposlenje u Aspyr Media zaključno sa srpnjem 2022., a Minor također navodi da je “otvoren za posao”.
U svibnju 2022. studio Sabre Interactive pridružio se Aspyr Media u razvoju remakea. Zaposlenici Aspyr Media sada vjeruju da bi Sabre Interactive mogao u potpunosti preuzeti projekt dok Aspyr prelazi na druge projekte.
Otkriven u rujnu 2021., remake KOTOR je opisan kao “potpuni remake” od strane Aspyr Media. Igra bi trebala biti lansirana na PS5 i PC-u.
