Square Enix je službeno predstavio Octopath Traveler 0, prequel popularnog HD-2D RPG serijala. Igra izlazi 4. prosinca 2025. godine za Nintendo Switch i Switch 2, a donosi svježu priču i niz novih mehanika, dok pritom zadržava sve ono što fanovi serijala vole. Radnja igre smještena je ponovno u Orsterru, no ovoga puta istražujemo događaje prije originalne igre. Tema igre je fokusirana na osveti, a ključnu ulogu igraju božanski prsteni koji su uzrok uništenja protagonista.
Za razliku od prijašnjih dijelova, u Octopath Traveler 0 po prvi puta igramo s vlastitim, prilagodljivim protagonistom, a jedan od glavnih ciljeva je obnova uništenog rodnog grada. Što uvodi neke nove gameplay elemente izgradnje i upravljanja, ali Octopath Traveler 0 donosi i poznate elemente kao što su: HD-2D vizuale, Path Actions, Break and Boost borbeni sustav i novu razinu nelinearnosti.
S obzirom na uspjeh prethodna dva dijela i popularnost HD-2D estetike, Octopath Traveler 0 ima potencijal postati jedan od najzanimljivijih JRPG naslova, barem za sami kraj 2025. godine. S datumom izlaska već u prosincu, fanovi neće morati dugo čekati na povratak u prelijepo oblikovani svijet Orsterre.
