23-godišnji Ruler se organizaciji pridružio 2017. godine još kad su bili pod imenom KSV eSports. Gen.G na domaćoj sceni nije imao uspjeha, no kroz sedam godina Ruler je bio vjeran i ostao u ekipi i u svim teškim trenucima.
Ove godine je Gen.G napokon sklopio dobar sastav i osvojili su svoj prvi LCK naslov. Ruleru je to bilo prvo domaće prvenstvo i prvi LCK trofej uz kojeg ima i naslov Worldsa.
Međutim Ruler je zatražio organizaciju da mu dopuste testiranje slobodne agencije, odnosno da mu dopuste da prije isteka produljenja ugovora proba naći drugu organizaciju.
