Romero Games nije ugašen i studio to jasno poručuje putem novog priopćenja na društvenim mrežama. Nakon što su krenule glasine da je studio zatvoren zbog otkazivanja izdavačkog ugovora s Xboxom, iz Romero Gamesa su objavili kako i dalje nastavljaju s radom, iako im je projekt otkazan, a financiranje povučeno.
Studio ne može javno imenovati izdavača koji je odustao, iako, kako kažu, “neki mogu zaključiti tko je to” na temelju dostupnih informacija. Zbog naglog prekida financiranja, morali su promijeniti strukturu tima, ali to ne znači da studio zatvara svoja vrata.
