Capcom je potvrdio kako će Resident Evil Requiem, najnoviji nastavak legendarne survival horror franšize, izaći 27. veljače 2026. na svim platformama – uključujući i Nintendo Switch 2. Ovo je prvi put da Switch dobiva novi Resident Evil naslov istog dana kao PC, PlayStation i Xbox verzije, što je svakako značajan trenutak za Nintendo igrače.
Resident Evil Requiem stavlja nas u ulogu Grace Ashcroft, kći Alysse Ashcroft, koja se vraća u Wrenwood Hotel, mjesto na kojem je njezina majka izgubila život. Igrači mogu očekivati jezivu atmosferu, mutante i groteskna iznenađenja, po kojima je Resident Evil i postao sinonim za survival horror. Ono što Resident Evil Requiem razlikuje od prijašnjih naslova jest mogućnost izbora perspektive. Igrači će moći birati između prvog ili trećeg lica. Capcom ovim potezom omogućuje fanovima da biraju žele li intenzivniji horor doživljaj ili klasičnu kameru iza ramena koja je prepoznatljiva za ovaj serijal.
Na kraju novog trailera potvrđeno je kako će se istog dana na Switch 2 pojaviti i Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, te Resident Evil Village. Na starom Switchu igre su bile dostupne isključivo kroz cloud verzije, ali očekuje se da će nova konzola napokon omogućiti uobičajeno igranje.
