Psihološki horor Dead Take, najnoviji naslov developera Surgent Studios, službeno izlazi 31. srpnja 2025. za PC putem Steama i Epic Games Storea. Datum izlaska je mnoge začudio, s obzriom na to da je igra najavljena tek prije par mjeseci. Dead Take je brzo privukla pažnju svojim jezivim okruženjem, jedinstvenom mehanikom i impresivnom glumačkom postavom. Uz najavu datuma izlaska, predstavljen je i novi trailer koji pruža dublji uvid u istraživanje, zagonetke i mehaniku montiranja snimki, a daje i prvi pogled na lik Jane Perry.
Radnja Dead Takea odvija se u raskošnoj, ali zlokobnoj vili, gdje igrač pokušava otkriti što se dogodilo s njegovim prijateljem glumcem Vinnyjem, koji je nestao nakon jedne zabave. Igra kombinira puzzle mehanike inspirirane escape room konceptom i montiranje video isječaka, a cijela priča crpi inspiraciju iz osobnog glumačkog iskustva kreativnog direktora Abubakara Salima. Salim opisuje igru kao prikaz “ambicije i truleži ispod površine showbiz svijeta” – istražujući laži koje si glumci govore da bi dospjeli pod reflektore, i čudovišta u koja se pretvaraju kako bi tamo ostali.
Uz ranije najavljene Bena Starra (Final Fantasy XVI, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33) i Neila Newbona (Baldur’s Gate 3, Resident Evil Village), potvrđeni su i Jane Perry (Hitman, Baldur’s Gate 3), te Alanah Pearce (Cyberpunk 2077, V/H/S/Beyond) u zasad neotkrivenim ulogama. Igra također sadrži niz poznatih cameo nastupa, uključujući: Sam Lake, Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, CDawgVA.
