Oko 60% priče vrtjeti će se oko muškog protagonista koji je samuraj dok ćemo onih preostalih 40% igrati kao ženski shinobi i više se fokusirati na šuljanje. Dvije velike suprotnosti i kontrasta što bi moglo biti zanimljivo. Baš kao što je to primjer u posljednjih nekoliko igara iz Assassin’s Creed serijala u Japanu će biti prisutni detalji iz mitologije.
Naš ženski protagonist Naoe dobiti će i svoj DLC koji će još proširiti njezinu priču. Taj DLC bi trebao doći tijekom 2025.
