Naughty Dog i HBO su potvrdili datum premijere The Last of Us serije koja na male ekrane stiže početkom siječnja 2023. godine. Vijest je potvrđena i posterom kojega je Naguhty Dog objavio na svojem Twitter profilu na kojem su nam prikazani Joel kojeg glumi Pedra Pascala i Ellie koju glumi Belle Ramsey.
Prema dosadašnjim informacijama serija bi trebala pratiti originalnu radnju igre, iako će prvih deset epizoda pokrivati događaje iz prvog dijela igre koja je izašla 2013. godine. Naravno kako serija nebi bila dosadna onima koji su igru već odigrali, u epizodama će biti i odstupanja od samog događanja u igri.
Ostatak glumačke postave čine još i Anna Torv, Gabriel Luna, Nick Offerman i mnoga druga poznata lica, a za sam scenarij i režiju serije zaduženi su Neil Druckmann i Craig Mazin.
