Pokemon je započeo istragu jer bića iz Palworlda nisu identična kao i Pokemoni, no definitivno se vide sličnosti i odakle je ideja došla.
Inače uzimanje inspiracije i slične ideje od drugih nije kažnjivo, no moguće je da su developeri uzeli 3D modele iz Pokemon igara i samo ih preoblikovala da ne izgledaju potpuno isto. Trenutno nema dovoljno dokaza da se još uspostavi istina, no Pokemon Company se oglasio i započeo istragu, koja ako pronađu istinu bi ovaj slučaj odvela nas sud.
