Poznati YouTube filmski kritičar Chris Stuckmann konačno ulazi u redateljske vode s horor filmom Shelby Oaks, koji u kina stiže 3. listopada. U suradnji s distributerom NEON, objavljen je i službeni trailer koji pruža prvi konkretniji pogled na ono što Stuckmann sprema svojim gledateljima. Radnja Shelby Oaksa vrti se oko nestalih istraživača paranormalnog, poznatih pod imenom “the paranormal paranoids” i onoga što su otkrili. Dvanaest godina nakon što je njezina sestra Riley, glavna istraživačica skupine, nestala pod nerazjašnjenim okolnostima, Mia kreće u potragu. Ista ju suočava s mračnim tajnama iz prošlosti, ali i nadnaravnom prijetnjom koja seže sve do njihova djetinjstva. Film koristi klasičnu narativnu strukturu, ali isprepliće ju s elementima found footage horora, čime dodatno pojačava osjećaj autentičnosti i nelagode.
Veliko povjerenje u projekt pokazuje i činjenica da je horor majstor Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep, The Haunting of Hill House) postao izvršni producent filma. Producentskom timu su se pridružili Trevor Macy i Melinda Nishioka iz Intrepid Pictures, produkcijska tvrtka zaslužna za filmove kao što su Hush, The Strangers (2008.), The Bye Bye Man, Gerald’s Game…
