SoLA nam donosi nove vrste neprijatelja, novo legendarno oružje, a u traileru se može opaziti i nekoliko novih animacija. Što se neprijatelja tiče, riječ je o dvije nove vrste, Whipperi i Clotteri. Whipperi vas napadaju svojim iznutricama, da dobro ste pročitali, a Clotteri se raspadaju i pretvaraju u lokvu punu krvi i kostiju. Cilj Clottera je uhvatiti igrača nespremnog i pošteno ga isprepadati.
Usporedbe radi, u Haus ekspanziji igrač nije imao istu količinu slobode koju će imati u SoLA ekspanziji. Dead Island 2 SoLA ekspanzija je dostupna besplatno za sve vlasnike Expansion Passa, a možete ju kupiti i pojedinačno.
