I za razliku od konzola koje stagniraju, analitičari procjenjuju da će broj PC igrača rasti te da bi do 2030. godine dosegnuo milijardu igrača. Dok u svemu tome prednjači Kina gdje je konzola daleko u opadanju naspram PC-a.
Newzoo navodi jednu veliku manu za PC igrače, a to je da se na PC-u igraju pretežito stare igre kod kojih čak pada 92% na dvije godine ili više, dok se na konzolama igraju nove igrice. Pravi dokaz tome i daje informacija da čak 67% ispitanika igra igrice starije od šest godina.
Ova informacija nije za čuditi se, jer službena statistika sa Steama pokazuje kako iz tjedna u tjedan se stalno pokazuju jedni te isti naslovi Counter-Strike, Dota 2, PUBG, GTA, Rust, Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, Naraka: Bladepoint. Između ostaloga zna se tu pronaći i koji novi naslov koji je toga tjedna HIT.
