Od 30 milijuna prijavljenih igrača na Steamu, njih čak 8.523,537 imalo je pokrenutu barem jednu igru. Iako tim rezultatom nije oboren rekord sa početka godine gdje je zabilježeno 9,2 milijuna istovremenih igrača s pokrenutim igrama, i dalje je pohvalno za steam da imaju toliko količinu prijavljenih korisnika, te da se svakim mjesecom i danom povećava popularnost Steam na još veći nivo nego na kojem je sada.
No, kao i svi dosadašnji rekordi aktivnosti, i ovaj je ostvaren preko vikenda kad igrači imaju najviše slobodnog vremena za igranje. Razlog zašto je brojka sada skočila vjerojatno se nalazi u tome što su napokon izašle očekivane igre kao što su COD: Modern Warfare II, A Plague Tale: Requiem i Gotham Knights. A ne zaboravimo ni Football Managera i The Sims 4 koji je postao besplatan.
