Nakon PlayStation Vite dugo se čekalo da PlayStation napravi potez po pitanju prijenosne konzole. Znalo se da ona izlazi, ali konačno smo dočekali da ju vidimo i da saznamo njemo ime.
PlayStation Portal nije zapravo gaming konzola već streaming konzola. Ona će streamati igre isključivo sa PlayStationa 5 u FullHD rezoluciji. Za to će vam biti potrebna stalna internetska povezanost za koju Sony kaže da ne smije biti manja od 5mbps, ali preporučuju bar 15mbps. Veliki minus je što nema mogućnost povezivanja na 4G odnosno 5G mrežu pa ako ste u pokretu trebate mobitel koji će koristiti za dijelenje pristupne točke.
PlayStation Portal ima integrirani Dual Sense kontroler koji ima sve značajke standardnog kontrolera. Također zaslon na kojem ćemo se igrati je dijagonale 8 inča i FullHD je rezolucije. Po mnogima premala rezolucija koja je trebala biti barem u razini s onime što nude današnji mobiteli i tableti, a to je nešto približno 1440p rezoluciji. Uređaj će se moći bežično povezati i s novim bluetooth slušalicama koje je PlayStation zajedno s Portalom zajedno i predstavio.
Sve navedeno moći će te u ruci držati već ove godine po cijeni od 219.99 eura.
