Sve PlayStation konzole s vremenom su dobijale osvježena sučelja pa tako ni PlayStation 5 nije izuzetak. Novo sučelje trenutno je dostupno samo određenom broju igrača iz SAD-a, ali uskoro se očekuje da će biti dostupno u cijelom svijetu.
Glavni novitet su widgeti i wallpaperi. Explore tab sada može popremiti pozadinu po vašoj želji. Dobro ne baš po želji kako bi mi htjeli. PlayStation nam je ponudi nekoliko svojih osnovnih wallpapera od kojih su neki animirani. Lijepo je što vlastite kreacije odnosno screenshote iz igara možemo postaviti za pozadinu.
Svakako bi smo htjeli da kao što je to na PC-ju možemo postaviti bilo koju sliku ili čak GIF na pozadinu. Istako tako ova značajka limitarna je na explore tab dok u ostalim dijelovima menija i dalje gledamo PlayStation pozadinu.
Widgeti su veliki novitet koji donosi puno informacija na puno jednostavniji način. Lakše ćemo tako pronači podatke o broju trofeja, koliko smo popuni disk, stanje baterije svih povezanih uređaja te naravno vijesti o novim promocijama na PlayStation Storeu.
