Prošlo je već 4 godine od prošlog Metro naslova, a prema glasinama ovaj tjedan bi developeri trebali najavit novi naslov igre.
4A Games je već 2020. nakon Metro Exodusa potvrdio da rade na novom naslovu. Zapravo su čak i potvrdili da rade na single-player, multi-player, a sada se priča da čak rade i na VR naslovu. Uz to priča se da naslov nove igre bi trebao biti Metro Awakening.
Priča se da će novi naslov igre biti najavljen na State of Playu gdje će Sony najavit i druge igre. Je li to istina, i kakav će biti žanr nove igre, ne znamo još. Međutim svi iščekujemo novu igru, jer se Metro kao trilogija pokazao sjajnim i njegove naslove su svi zavoljeli.
