Tko još nije upućen Steam Deck je ručno računalo za igranje koje je razvila kompanija Valve. Steam Deck se može igrati kao ručni uređaj ili spojiti na monitor na isti način kao i Nintendo Switch. Temeljen je na operativnom sustavu Linux.
Valve je izjavio da je do sada isporučio više od milijun primjeraka Steam Decka te da još uvijek rješavaju narudžbe koje im stoje na čekanju. Naravno da to nije rezultat na razini konzola. Usporedbe radi, Nintendo Switch je bio prodan u 1,5 milijuna primjeraka u prvom tjednu prodaje. Međutim, treba uzeti u obzir da Valve nema dugu tradiciju proizvodnje hardvera kao druge firme, a i Steam Deck nije imao ekskluzivnu igru koja bi mu potaknula prodaju kako to obično biva s konzolama.
Steam Deck možete naručiti u tri varijante, prva 64 GB koja je najsporija od ponuđene tri verzije, druga 256 GB brža i od prethodne i treća 512 GB što je, iako zvuči puno, zapravo malo ako gledamo da pričamo o PC-u.
Prema zadnjim informacijama iz Valvea, trenutno je situacija takva da bi svi naručeni primjerci Steam Decka trebali biti isporučeni do kraja tekuće godine.
