Capcomova franšiza prošli je mjeseca dobila svoj remasterizirani Onimusha 2, ali su i dalje sve oči uprte u 2026. godinu i potpuno novi naslov – Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Igra je prvi put predstavljena tijekom dodjele nagrada na The Game Awards, a novi pogled na Onimusha: Way of the Sword pojavio se na Summer Game Festu.
Trailer je prikazao gameplay koji je kombinacija klasične samurajske borbe s futurističnim elementima. Neki bi rekli da je gameplay totalno očekivan s obzirom na to da je ipak riječ o igri iz Onimusha serijala. Vidjeli smo složeni sustav izbjegavanja, pariranja i sada već prepoznatljiv sustav protunapada koji rade veliku štetu. Osim tradicionalnih katana, trailer je prikazao i čekiće koji izgleda mogu napraviti nekakav portal do druge dimenzije.
