The Game Awards 2025 pokazao se kao prava poslastica za Star Wars fanove. Nakon što je potvrđen Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, tijekom događaja stigla je još jedna najava – Star Wars Galactic Racer. Riječ je o potpuno novom racing naslov koji izlazi 2026. godine za PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S i PC.
Igra stiže iz studija Fuse Games, u suradnji sa Secret Mode i Lucasfilm Games, a tim čine veterani koji su radili na legendarnim franšizama poput Burnouta i Need for Speeda. Drugim riječima, developeri imaju iskustva s kreiranjem arkadnih igara, tako da bi Star Wars Galactic Racer mogao biti prava poslastica za Star Wars fanove.
Prema prvim informacijama, Star Wars Galactic Racer je opisan kao „runs-based, high-stakes reinvention of racing“ smješten u kaotični Outer Rim. Nakon pada Carstva, galaksija se ponovno gradi, a pojavljuje se nova organizacija – Galactic League.
Uz novi trailer igra već sada izgleda kao dobra kombinacija Star Wars estetike i arkadnog utrkivanja. Star Wars Galactic Racer je već dostupan za wishlistanje, a hoće li uspjeti naslijediti kultni status Episode I: Racer, saznat ćemo nekada 2026. godine.
