Nintendo očito ne planira stati s osvajanjem filmske industrije. Nakon što je The Super Mario Bros. Movie postao globalni hit i zaradio više od milijardu dolara, japanski div sve više ulaže u filmske adaptacije svojih legendarnih franšiza.
Prema najnovijem financijskom izvještaju Nintenda Japan, kompanija je potvrdila kako je trenutno uključena u više filmskih projekata temeljenih na vlastitim IP-jevima, a svi su u različitim fazama razvoja. Iako detalji o tome koji će serijali dobiti svoju filmsku verziju još nisu otkriveni, potvrđeno je da će se novi naslovi početi pojavljivati nakon izlaska The Legend of Zelda filma, planiranog za 2027. godinu.
Ono što je posebno zanimljivo jest da Nintendo planira aktivno sudjelovati u produkciji i financiranju svih budućih filmova, što znači da bi kvaliteta i vjernost originalnim igrama trebala ostati na visokoj razini. Drugim riječima, možete očekivati sličnu ili bolju kvalitetu kao i u The Super Mario Bros. Movie kojeg su realizirali u suradnji s Illuminationom. Obožavatelji Nintenda i svih njegovih IP-jeva imaju visoka očekivanja, a ako se glasine pokažu točnima, uskoro bismo na velikim platnima diljem svijeta mogli gledati legendarne serijale poput Donkey Konga, Animal Crossinga ili Metroida.
Jedno je sigurno, prvo nas u travnju 2026. čeka Super Mario Galaxy Movie, nakon toga The Legend of Zelda film u 2027. godini, a u međuvremenu možemo očekivati potvrde od Nintenda o kojim je to IP-jevima riječ.
