New York jedan je od gradova koji se nalaze gotovo na svačijoj listi želja za posjetiti. Velikim dijelom zbog svega što nudi, ali i zato što su ga proslavili brojni filmovi. Spider-Man je jedan od njih, a samim time Spider-Man igre zaslužuju jednako dobar prikaz Velike Jabuke.
Ne govorim ovdje o grafici za koju vjerujem da će biti sjajna već o razini detalja koje će imati digitalni New York. Developeri kažu kako su sate proveli obilazeći grad putem Google Mapsa, ali su i surađivali s arhitektima koje su pronalazili na Redittu. Sve u želji da prenesu dušu New Yorka u svoju igru. Ističu kako žele da New York u Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bude živopisan grad koji će ponuditi pogled na to kako je zapravo biti stanovnik New-Yorka.
Nažalost u igri će faliti nešto što narušava taj autentičan prikaz. Chryslerova zgrada biti će izostavljena, od izlaska prvog Marvel’s Spider-Mana promijenio se vlasnik, a Sony nažalost s njime nije uspio dogoviriti uvjete poslovanja. Puno kritika je publika uputila na ručan ovoga nedostatka, ali Insomniac i Sony tvrde kako će to nadoknatiti drugim stvarima.
