Nakon samo tri dana od izlaska NBA 2K24 na Steamu je dobio više od tri tisuće negativnih recenzija. Što se postotka tiče, NBA 2K24 je 89% igrača ocijenilo kao igru koju nikada ne bi preporučili. Taj postotak joj je osigurao drugo mjesto na listi najgore ocijenjenih igara na Steamu odmah iza Overwatch 2.
Ono što su PC igrači najviše zamjerili developerima je činjenica da je PC verzija NBA 2K24 već četvrtu godinu za redom grafički slabija od verzije za konzole. Osim grafike, NBA 2K24 je još u mnogočemu lošiji od verzija za konzole. Glavna novost u NBA 2K24 je cross play sustav koji do sada nije bio dostupan, ali na PC-ju i dalje nije dostupan. Kao šlag na tortu igrači se žale velikim brojem bugova, kao i stalnih rušenja igre.
