Nakon samo jednog održanog sajma video igara u 3 godine, te nakon neizvjesnoog perioda dobio je nove organizatore i obećao povratak.
E3 2023 održat će se od 13. do 16. 6. sljedeće godine na staroj lokaciji LA Convention Center gdje će prva dva dana biti rezervirana samo za komunikaciju izlagača s medijima. Sajam bi trebao biti podijeljen na dva dijela. Jedan za “tiho izlaganje”, dok će drugi dio biti glasni sajam otvorenog tipa, s panelima i detaljnijim uvidima u igre.
Organizatori napominju da su svjesni kako na sajam neće privući baš sve izlagače, ali ne namjeravaju se boriti protiv drugih manifestacija koje će se održavati u istom periodu. Drugim riječima, “novi E3” želi biti sinonim za sva gamerska događanja i najave u šestom mjesecu, uključujući i one koje dođu izvan mjesta zbivanja/održavanja samog sajma. Hoće li to tako i funkcionirati – vidjet ćemo sljedeće godine.
