Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater imat će dva načina težine ovisno o perspektivi igranja. Riječ je o New Style i Legacy Style načinu igranja, odnosno težini. Kreativni producent Yuji Korekado rekao je da su programeri prvotno planirali dodati opciju za prebacivanje između dvije točke težine u bilo kojem trenutku tijekom igranja. No, nakon nekog vremena programeri su odustali od te ideje. Razlog tome je što se razina težine jako mijenja.

Prilagođavanje težine za New Style i Legacy Style igru bi učinilo preteškom, pa je tako jedini logični potez bio razdvajanje dvaju načina igranja. Kao što je Korekado rekao, Legacy Style je težinom bio sličan originalnom naslovu, dok je New Style prilagođen igračima koji se po prvi puta upoznaju s ovim naslovom.
Prije je producent igre, Noriaki Okamura rekao da će grafika i operativnost remakea obuhvatiti moderni stil igranja. Dok će ključni elementi igre, poput zvuka, scenarija i dizajna igre ostati netaknuti. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater bi trebali zaigrati ovog studenog.
