Maneater je izašao 2020. godine i bila je to jedna luda igra. Tripwire Interactive nas je stavio u ulogu morskog psa kojeg smo upravljali, evoluirali i papali zločeste ljude koji su nas htjeli uloviti. Maneater je dobio samo jedan DLC, a što se samih recenzija tiče, nije se baš proslavila. Drugim riječima, Maneater je bio prosječan naslov kojeg je privremeni hype održavao na životu, no vrlo brzo su svi zaboravili na njega.
Iz Tripwire Interactivea su se pohvalili kako je njihov Maneater prodan u više od 14 milijuna primjeraka. Čisto radi usporedbe, to je više prodanih primjeraka od bilo kojeg Resident Evil naslova unazad deset godina. Tko zna, u ovom trenutku Maneater možda igra više igrača nego Starfield. S obzirom na to da je Maneater 2022. godine bio besplatan na Epic Gamesu, brojka od 14 milijuna je vrlo vjerojatno puno veća. No, nažalost, u taj broj nisu uračunati oni igrači koji su igru ugrabili besplatno na Epic Gamesu tada.
