Završena je prva faza IEM Rio Majora, a to je naravno Challangers faza. Challangers faza nam je donijela puno uzbudljivih mečeva, a sada slijedi zanimljiva Legends faza.
Jučer su igrale posljednje ekipe tj. ekipe koje su imale 2W-2L rezultat, neke su se morale oprostiti od Majora, a neke slave prolaz. Među tim ekipama dalje su prošli Cloud9, Vitality i Fnatic. Ekipe koje su poražene su OG, GamerLegion i 9z.
U Legends fazu su također prošli 3W-1L: Outsiders, Furia i BIG, 3W-0L: MOUZ i Bad News Eagles. Furia je jedina brazilska ekipa koja je prošla dalje te će imati ogromnu podršku domaćih navijača u nadolazećoj Legends fazi.
Ekipe koje su već kvalificirane za Legends fazu i sada čekaju Challangere su: FaZe, NiP, Sprout, Spirit, NaVi, ENCE, Heroic i Liquid. Prvi mečevi su već spremni te se igra jedna Legends ekipa protiv jedne Challanger ekipe. Na rasporedu ima dosta zanimljivih mečeva koja vrijedi gledati, no najzanimljiviji će biti između NaVi-a i Vitalitya. Također pošto je ovo sami početak ove faze svi mečevi će biti Bo1, što ekipama daje dodatan pritisak na samom početku.
