Iz Arrowhead Gamesa poručuju kako će se PC igrači morati spojiti na svoj PlayStation Network račun ako žele igrati Helldivers 2. Ovo pravilo će vrijediti od idućeg ponedjeljka, 06. svibnja i to samo za nove igrače. Ako ste stari igrač Helldivers 2, onda vaš Steam i PlayStation Network račun morate povezati do kraja mjeseca (30.05.).
Developeri dodaju kako ovo nije nikakva naknadna izmišljotina već je plan od početka bio takav. Pri lansiranju igre, ovaj zahtjev je bio privremeno obustavljen zbog tehničkih poteškoća. Također, na sve ovo se nadovezao i Sony Interactive Entertainment. On kao izdavač igre opravdava ovu odluku jer tako igra postaje sigurnija i igrači su zaštićeniji od raznih oblika zlostavljanja.
Ovim potezom nam može biti jasno kako ćemo u budućnosti morati imati PSN račun za sve Sonyjeve multiplayer igre na PC-u.
