Developeri su ovim potezom dodatno obogatili iskustvo igranja u Helldivers 2. Illuminate neprijatelji, koji su poznati po svojim psihičkim sposobnostima, proširena je s tri nova tipa neprijatelja. Ovi dodatci su naravno povećali raznolikost neprijatelja u Helldivers 2, uz postojeće Voteless, Overseers i Havesters. U traileru također možete primijetiti i veće brodove koji sugeriraju potencijalni dolazak novih pojačanja, iako još nisu otkriveni nikakvi detalji.
Veliki je dodatak prilagodba oružja kako bi igrači mogli biti učinkovitiji u borbi protiv neprijatelja.
