Kroz GTA 5 i njegov Online proživjeli smo cijelu priču Los Santosa, a pomalo smo se dotakli i drugih GTA naslova. Čule su se priče o Niku Beliću iz GTA 4 kao i spomen imena Groove Street kao svima dobro poznatih zelembaća iz San Andreasa.
Sada se čini da dobijamo priču po prvi puta i o novom GTA naslovu, a ne samo onim koji su prethodili petici.
